A spectacular ranch for a unique summer vacation, combining Colorado Rockies splendor with northern New Mexico enchantment. We offer breathtaking country in which to ride, fish, and hike, and the brand of western hospitality that keeps our guests coming back for more. Excellent kids programs and a fun teen program add plenty of options for everyone to go their own way, or to spend time together. We have superb riding which includes all-days and an overnight, as well as team-penning. Also great fishing on the Conejos River which flows right through the ranch. Side trips include whitewater rafting on the Rio Grande near Taos, and America's highest, longest narrow-gauge railroad nearby. Fascinating Santa Fe is a great choice for a night before or after the ranch. Enjoy your own aspen-log cabin, home-cooked meals served in our historic lodge, Rocky Mountain nights dancing or singing, horse drawn hayrides. Spend a week and take home a lifetime of memories. Special rates June and late August.

Lodging Overview

Fifteen guest cabins of varied size and layout. All are quaintly decorated in western themes and each has a fireplace area and a wonderful veranda perfect for relaxing after a fun filled day. We'll be happy to match you with the perfect cabin for your family.

Recreation Overview

There is plenty to do at the ranch. For the cowboy in all of us, we offer morning and afternoon rides with many choices for destinations and levels. Our horse program is designed around excellent horses and wranglers in a setting that allows for everything from gentle to advanced riding. All-day rides, an overnight ride, team-penning and the ranch rodeo round out our program along with plenty of good horsemanship and instruction. Then there is the fishing--we have a mile and a half of private fishing on our stretch of the Conejos River, known for its quality waters. Great fishing not far from your cabin on a beautiful river amid gorgeous Colorado scenery will delight everyone from beginners to accomplished fly-fishermen. Additional fishing opportunities surround us in the creeks and tributaries of the San Juan Mountains. It is truly a fisherman's paradise! The mountains and valleys also provide great hiking and sightseeing. We are happy to set up guided hikes anytime, or to give you ideas and directions for your own hikes. Other activities include trap shooting, learning to handle a rope, playing horseshoes, horse-drawn hayrides and swimming, not to mention learning about ranch life and cowboy traditions. Evenings bring dancing in the main lodge, singing, cookouts, our own cowboy singer and conversation around the giant fireplace in the lodge. You can relax on your veranda, take a star filled walk or soothe those riding muscles in the outdoor hot tub. Whatever you choose to do at the ranch, it is your time to do as you please, be it non-stop activity, or taking time for yourself, something Moms will more than appreciate!

Dining Overview

Meals are a special delight at the ranch. Wholesome ranch cooking with plenty of delicious entrees, side dishes, fresh baked breads, salads and fruit, capped off with mouthwatering desserts. Most meals are served family style in the lodge, but we do have several pool cookouts and riverside barbeques during the week which are always a favorite. Special consideration given to dietary requirements and restrictions.
