Welcome you to our family dude and guest ranch. Since 1954, Deer Valley’s philosophy has remained consistent “Deer Valley Ranch creates opportunities for adventure and connectedness allowing families to find their destiny with the Lord.”
We are surrounded by beautiful fourteen thousand foot peaks as well as the amazing backdrop of the famous Chalk Cliffs region of central Colorado.

Deer Valley Ranch has always been a leader in offering a variety of activities for everyone on the ranch: adults, teens, and children. Our guests receive exceptional service from friendly and caring staff for a true memory-making vacation. We are surrounded by majestic mountain country…God’s country…and we’re glad to guide you through it: on foot, by horse or mule, or with a fly rod in hand!

Guests have the opportunity to be as active as they want: from rising at dawn to hike a 14,000′ peak, aka a “14er”… to relaxing in a chaise lounge by our two hot springs heated pools. At the end of a day of outdoor adventure, enjoy one of our two outdoor Jacuzzi hot tubs. Other activity highlights include two Wrangler’s Breakfast horseback rides, a staff “Western Party”, daily specialty horseback rides, fishing a high mountain lake, whitewater rafting on the nearby and popular Arkansas River and to cap your week of adventure off Deer Valley’s epic all day back-country horseback ride.

Your children will have the option of enjoying adventures of their own – scavenger hunt, swimming, visiting a true Colorado fish hatchery, crafts and more – in our well-supervised kids’ program. Teens enjoy “hanging out” with our teen leaders and fellow teens by going bouldering, rock climbing, and sleeping beneath the stars at a very popular camp-out.

Bring your appetites! Our meals are hearty and healthy, homemade and served with a western flair. Favorites include Wrangler’s Breakfast, complete with eggs, grits and coffee out of a tin cup; Mexican Buffet with make-your-own taco/burrito/tostada fillings and Jess’s famous sapodillas; Saturday night buffet with roast beef, ham, homemade rolls, many sides and salads and a separate gourmet dessert table; Steak night with thick grilled steaks, fresh salad, Swiss Cheese bread and Texas potatoes. With advance notice, we are glad to accommodate special dietary needs.

Our accommodations include ten rooms, each with a private bath, in our Western lodge, and thirteen cabins, each with a kitchen, fireplace and deck with a view. The cabins are spacious and comfortable, sure to be home away from home during your stay. Many guests find a favorite room or cabin that works well for them and request it each visit.

During the fall and winter seasons, guests can hike, fish and horseback ride as well. We accommodate special groups and with the addition of our full time wrangler working year round we can take care of all your horseback riding needs up until winter joins us. The ranch is also happy to organize corporate and specialized adventures for your family reunions, groups or other gatherings or if you and your family want something specific during our off season we can make those adventures come true as well. We look forward to having you on the ranch during your next family vacation!
