Lodging Overview

Your resort accommodations at Deer Valley Ranch are different than virtually every other Colorado guest ranch with our offering of both lodge rooms and cabins. When you stay in our simple lodge rooms you are right in the heart of the “old west” style of lodging. Downstairs from your room with a private bath is the lodge lounge and fireplace, the front deck, and the ranch dining rooms.

Our cabins are spacious two, three or four bedroom vacation cottages (small homes, actually). Each mountain vacation cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen, living room/dining area, fireplace and deck with a view. The western style cabins are great for families of four or more, and you’ll feel right at home for the week!

No two cabins are alike and they vary as to the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and size of beds. It is this uniqueness that gives Deer Valley Ranch’s cabins their character, appeal and charm. With their individual differences, families can find a cabin that fits them perfectly and often request it summer after summer. It truly becomes their “home away from home.”

Recreation Overview

What better way to experience the West than on the back of a horse? When you first arrive at DVR, our corrals are the first thing to greet you. We can’t wait to host you on a ride!

Our horses are suitable for guests with varying levels of experience. From one-hour walking trail rides to full backcountry days in the saddle complete with jogging and loping opportunities, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for in the DVR horsemanship program.

We hire exceptional wranglers who are skilled in keeping guests and animals safe while encouraging fun and learning both on the ground and in the saddle. Our Head Wrangler has trained under many equine professionals across disciplines and loves sharing her passion for horsemanship with others.

Outdoor Adventures at Deer Valley Ranch allow every member of your family to find their perfect Colorado experience. Our Adventures are also open to guests who are not staying overnight at the Ranch.

Our Adventures are all managed and guided by professional guides here at Deer Valley Ranch, or by partnered organizations within the Arkansas River Valley. Our goal with these amazing experiences is to facilitate exceptional family time. Deer Valley Ranch is proud to offer guided hiking, rock climbing, rappelling, mountain biking, ax throwing, paddle boarding, hiking, guided 14er trips, and so much more.

Dining Overview

Chef Jackie and her team prepare exceptional meals three times a day, complete with accommodations for many dietary restrictions. With locally sourced ingredients (when possible due to varying growing seasons), quality meats and vegetables, clean facilities, and quality hospitality, you and your family are sure to eat well at Deer Valley Ranch.
