Lodging Description:
The main lodge houses the dining room with fireplace, cowboy and mining artifacts, sitting room, library, sundeck and upstairs Elk suite. There are six one-, two- or three-bedroom log cabins with private baths and queen- or king-size beds. The Pioneer Lodge has three private rooms with baths, all tastefully furnished. Daily housekeeping service. A gift basket and fresh flowers await your arrival. Interior and exterior photos of each accommodation can be found on our website.
Eight-person hot tub and large deck. Small guest laundry room available for your convenience. Sue loves flowers and has a colorful array everywhere. The ranch generates its own electricity. Lights out at 11 p.m. - enjoy the stargazing and solitude.

Horseback riding through unspoiled wilderness. Tom is an advocate of natural horsemanship, and you will enjoy his excellent horse orientation. Ranch owns its own horses and one will be matched to suit your riding ability.
Although horses are our main emphasis, there are plenty of activities for all to enjoy. RATES INCLUDE thrilling white-water raft trip, overnight camp trip high in the Rockies, trapshooting, marksmanship, archery, scenic van trip to Aspen over Independence Pass, fishing, hiking, square-dancing, evening entertainment and more!
Jacuzzi, horseshoes, petting zoo, basketball court, tetherball, volleyball, badminton, western movies, piano and board games for your added enjoyment.
Food Description:
Superb, varied, home-cooked meals to delight both hearty and discerning appetities . . . sure to be a highlight. Trail ride cookouts, champagne brunch, steak fry, hors d-oeuvres, fabulous desserts, and kid-friendly options. The highlight at week's end is the country candlelight dinner.
Fresh baked cookies and a fruit bowl are always available between meals. Special diets are happily accommodated.

Activities
Children's Program:Elk Mountain Ranch is a very family-oriented guest ranch. In concert with our regular ranch activity program we offer a full kids' program for ages 3-7 years. Two children's counselors will offer a well-supervised, fun-filled day of activities. Each day includes riding in the arena and activities that revolve around the theme of the day. Cowboy Day includes roping, panning for gold, and making sheriff badges. On Indian Day children will make Indian headbands and necklaces, hike to a tepee and hunt for arrowheads. Spend a day at the Mount Princeton Hot Springs pools and enjoy riding the water slide down the mountain on Water Day.
Children 8 and older are usually able to participate in our regular ranch activities, but are always welcome to join the children's counselors.
Child care is also offered to chlidren too young to participate in the above program. Children 2 and are under are offered a rate of $200 per week plus $10 per hour for child care.
