Recreation Description:
A lifetime of memories all in one week. With the variety of activities available at Tumbling River Ranch, you could spend the whole summer playing! Experience white water rafting, fishing and fly fishing in streams, ponds and high mountain lakes. Enjoy spectacular hiking, swimming, lounging in hot tubs, playing in the game room, square dancing, taking hayrides, enjoying a relaxing massage or singing by campfire. Take van trips to historic towns and ride a narrow gauge railroad. By horseback you can explore long abandoned mines and seldom seen ghost towns, ride to cookouts or take an overnight pack trip. Or, you can simply sit back and read a good book surrounded by gorgeous scenery. Our families enjoy a complete flexibly at TRR. Experience the ranch activities as a family, or split up and try each activity we offer.

Food Description:
At Tumbling River, meals are a source of pride. Everything is well thought out and always homemade. We make our own breads and desserts, and guarantee that you and your kids will agree on the menu. Typical dinners will feature beef tenderloin, pork tenderloin, grilled chicken, and barbequed ribs. We have lots of cookouts, and you haven’t lived until you’ve ridden several hours up to a high mountain meadow and smelled coffee brewing and bacon cooking. We can cater to any eating style or dietary need, and our menu is broad enough to include even the pickiest! Beer and wine are served with most dinners.

• Adult Rate: $2100-2600 week summer season. Fall season $1500 a week.
• Children Rate: kids under 12: $2000-2400, kids under 6: $1600-1900, kids under 3: $600-800
• Service Charge/Tip Rate: Gratuities for the staff are entirely optional. If you find the service deserving of gratuity, 12%-17% is common.
• Tax Rate: 3.9%

Activities

Children's Program:
Parents can be assured that babies, kids and teens will be well entertained. Our counselors are ready after breakfast with exciting programs for kids 3 years and over. The programs continue through lunch and the afternoon. There are separate activities for ages 3 to 5, 6 to 8, 9 to 11, and for teens. The programs are entirely optional but they're a lot of fun and enable parents to have more freedom. We also offer full nanny programs for children under 3. For the kids under 6, we have pony rides. Those 6 and over may go on the trail rides. The programs include riding, hiking, fishing, swimming, nature hikes, kids overnight campouts, and play in our fort and teepee. For the teens, the most memorable experience is the famous "capture the flag" and the overnight pack trip to 12,200 feet.

Conventions, Meetings & Retreats:
The ranch is ideal for groups of 40 or less during the early and late seasons. The location, high in the Rocky Mountains, encourages a fun and creative atmosphere. Your group can meet, work, or just relax. Often groups can book the entire ranch for their exclusive use. Tumbling River will work with your group to customize your schedule. Here are some of the great things your group can enjoy: outdoor heated pool, hot-tub & sauna, horseback riding, fishing, hiking and scenic drives to Historic Colorado towns. Horseback riding can be done for a full day, a half-day, or just an arena ride. Fishermen can try our stocked ponds or spend the day on a guided fly-fishing adventure. Dine well, have fun, and be productive in a quiet mountain setting. We have cabin accommodations, historic lodges and meeting rooms. More than anything, enjoying the incredible spring & fall weather is at the top of the list.

Weddings:
For the first time since 1975, TRR finally has the facilities to offer weddings. In June of 2009, we will complete a 4000 square building that can host beautiful receptions, candle-lit wedding meals or fun western buffets. Call the ranch for more wedding information.

Tumbling River Ranch is a truly special place for parents and Grandparents to enjoy our one of a kind family vacation. Our Pueblo House is perfect for families traveling together and we can also cluster cabins for family reunions. We have great activities for all ages and fun places to gather and tell stories about the day!
