Lodging Description:
Our accommodations at Drowsy Water, snug, comfortable, western styled and decorated, are carefully cleaned every day. Both private cabins and lodge guest rooms have all been remodeled and refurbished. They easily accommodate couples, small families, large families and friends wanting to be near each other. With the smell of clean, fresh mountain air, you'll never get a better nights' rest.

Recreation Description:
Drowsy Water Ranch has programs for children from infants to teens with plenty of activities for parents and grandparents. Singles and couples are welcomed also. We have a complete program of horseback riding, swimming, horseshoes, fishing, western dancing, 4-wheel drive trips, hiking, river float trip, campfires, hayrides, family carnival, and staff entertainment. We have a special relationship with our 95 head of horses. We've bred, raised and trained them to provide each guest with a quality riding experience. The program is geared to every riding ability and age group. Horses are selected to match the riders own skills. Daily instruction both in the arena and on the trail improves everyones' proficiency. Guests may choose from slow, medium, fast or different length all day rides as well as cattle work.

Food Description:
We take great pride in all our food, sometimes gourmet and hearty western but always well prepared. Many meals are served family style in the dining room but others may be breakfast on the mountain top, outdoor barbecues, chuckwagon lunches or sometimes out of your saddlebags. Our breads and pastries are made from scratch. We can also accommodate special diets.

Activities

Children's Program:
At our ranch we treat your children as we do our own--with understanding, patience, love, and respect. Our counselors and program supervisors are college students selected for their experience, attentiveness, and interests in child development and recreation. Programs, activities, and horseback riding are planned for every age group, 5 and under, 6 through 13, and for teens. Supervised programs even include infants. Riding instruction, nature hikes, cookouts, storytelling, fishing, crafts, and the heated swimming pool are some of the kids favorites.
